The Monterey in San Antonio, TX

A new restaurant has opened up in San Antonio, TX! The Monterey, located at 1127 South St. Mary's street, and only blocks from yours truly, offers delicious food, beautiful scenery, and a hip style that brightens your mood! I have only heard of the yumminess at The Monterey, but can't wait to do some research :) On top of all that good stuff The Monterey purchased oilcloth from us, using our Garvanza Beige print as wallpaper! Love it! This great picture is courtesy of peterlfrench's Flickr account!

Chalk It Up!

Last weekend in San Antonio, TX, Artpace, a San Antonio based program that "serves as an international laboratory for the creation and advancement of contemporary art" put on an annual community event called Chalk It Up! This commuity cultural event brings together "San Antonio's premier artists [who] transform city sidewalks into colorful works of art". That day we saw many beautiful works of art, everyone from local artists to children were encouraged to participate. We couldn't help but think of Chalkcloth (TM), a great material that is easy to clean, easy to transport and allows you to use chalk in fun and functional ways! We'd like to thank Sable Mirelez, who took some of these photographs!

HEARTHEART

San Antonio artist, Rolando Briseno's "Bi-cultural Table Setting" reminds us of our print All Berries Red. If you like this vintage print make sure to check out our Forever Yellow, Blue, Red, Pink and Green prints. Briseno's art is currently featured in the collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington D.C. and the Brooklyn Museum of Art. This particular piece was part of the "Caras Vemos, Corazones no Sabemos: The Human Landscape of Mexican Migration to the United States" exhibit at the Snite Museum of Art in 2006.
