Dinner Party!

Some friends and I had a little dinner party, although with the amount of food and drink we had it became a little more like a feast! As always, oilcloth made an appearance, I'm loving our Caribe print!

The Land of Nod

The Land of Nod has great splat mats that are stain resistant and easy to clean. You can choose between 2 of these fun and functional items, one features our Rosegall Pink print and the other has both our Gingham Blue and Mini Gingham prints!

Day of the Dead

Dia de los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead" is November 2. This unique celebration dates back to the Aztecs. In the United States, one can find beautiful altars decorated with sugar skulls and marigold flowers that honor loved ones. Our San Miguel print features a design reminiscent of Mexican papel picado, and comes in a variety of colors for your own Day of the Dead celebration.

Art Aids Art

We are so grateful to be able to contribute to such an amazing organization. Art Aids Art is a program that "promotes sustainable economic development through collaborative art programs." We received this wonderful note from co-founders Dorothy Yumi Garcia and Tom Harding:

Cruel Summer

I know Summer is over but i can't help but think that this vintage swimsuit designed "in 1936 by Margit Fellegi for Cole of California" would be a welcomed addition into my wardrobe. I can't help it! It looks so much like our Dasiy Dots print and it's funky and gorgeous all at the same time! "Using an innovative technique called "Matletex," it allowed the fabric to be shirred (gathering an area of fabric using elasticized threads in parallel rows) to create a flattering silhouette. Traditionally swimsuits were created using wool; this new process allowed for fabrics such as cotton and rayon with brightly printed patterns to be used for the first time."

Chalkcloth Message Board

We are loving this shabby chic Chalkcloth (TM) message board! We found it at a great online shop called Terrain. We think this tablet would be easy to make, just use some of our oh so cute Chalkcloth (TM) for a stylish and functional item!
