The Happiest Place on Earth

55 years ago today Disneyland opened its doors to people all over the world! While I may not be the biggest fan of theme parks in general I can definitely appreciate the nostalgia that both Disney and oilcloth provide. Our Polka Dot Black Ground is that perfect blend of americana and modernity.

Employee Picks, Series 1

Here at Oilcloth International we are starting a new tradition of employee picks. We'll be posting our staff's favorite oilcloth prints. Something I love about oilcloth is that just about everyone can find at least one particular print that speaks to his or her personality. And in order to kick off the first of many in this series I thought of nothing better than our fun and funky print Talk Spoons. This print has been with us since the beginning. For over a dozen years this print has brought joy to many kitchens . In my opinion, it's the perfect combination of Pee Wee and Mad Men!

La Fete Nationale

Oui oui! Bastille Day was yesterday, July 14th, BUT we've just been so incredibly busy here at Oilcloth International that we didn't get a chance to post until today! Over the course of our recent trip to Paris we learned very quickly to love the Bastille neighborhood. The people, the corner cafes, hidden bars, not to mention the history will forever serve as fond reminders of our wonderful trip. Bastille Day celebrates the storming of the Bastille in 1789, a powerful symbol of the modern nation. Click here to learn more about Bastille Day! And click here to check out our gorgeous Paris print!

64th Anniversary of the Bikini

Our tropical Caribe print reminds us of this retro chic BANTU high waisted printed bikini! On July 5th, 1946, Frenchman Louis Reard unveiled the bikini in Paris.
